| Comments: OH MY STARS!!!! Hilareous! As an armed mother myself, I find the Commie Mommies to be weak and too lazy to protect their own children. Relying on someone else to come do their jobs for them. By the way, I also have a drill, powersaw, jigsaw, and a sander someplace in the shed. Hey, when are they going to start ranting and raving about toilets, stoves, glass windows, television sets, chairs, beds, radios, anything harder than a nerfball, blankets, pillows, those lethal books (anyone else here been smacked in the head with a book as a kid?), burying people in sand at the beach, pens and pencils, the bright lights from cameras burning our children's retinas, the fact there's a roof over their head that keeps the rain off them, but could fall on them, food that isn't ground into mush, trees in your yard that could fall, bugs that could bite, pets that could bite, phone cords and the phones themselves (My hubby smacked his brother with a potentially lethal handset when he was little), furnaces! Those vents are hot during the winter and they're usually in the floor where the children play! Oh and all the dirt and cleaning chemicals on the floor! OH HELP US LORD! HELP US! I'm passing this site around. Thanks for the giggle. :o) | |

| Comments: Hello, This is probably the most absurd thing I've heard in a long, LONG time !!!!!! You HONESTLY think "licensed" tools will perform any differently than "unlicensed" tools?!?? Have you no conception of REALITY ??? It's not the "tools" (nor the "GUN") that present a danger to anyone - children included - it's the person AT THE CONTROLS of the "tool" or the "gun" !!!!!!!!!!! I can hear it now: "Did you what that TOOL did to our poor little Johnny?" Oh yeah - and "did you hear how awful that GUN treated our daughter Susie ?!?? Think about it . . . Duta Jackson | |

| Comments: Finally, someone has found the courage to take on the powerful tool lobby! Your long overdue effort to educate an ignorant society on the dangers posed by these small, easily concealed, "portable" power tools are greatly appreciated. Please do not, however, ignore the greater threat posed by large "machine" tools found in the basements and garages of countless untrained, unlicensed "do-it-yourselfers." No civilian needs five horsepower motors, three phase wiring, or other features, originally developed for the military and industry, to handle the legitimate range of authorized household repairs, such as changing lightbulbs. (Please receive appropriate training first and ALWAYS wear safety glasses.) Remember, a power tool in the home is 17.3 times more likely to blister the hands of its owner than to stop an intruder. Peace. (Hilarious site! Keep up the good work!) | |

| Comments: This website almost made me cry, and I don't cry easily. It just gets to me to see people fighting for the safety of our children. People spend way too much time talking about guns and knives when we all know the real problem is power tools! I mean maybe a couple thousand kids a year get shot, but there are literally millions getting hacked up by unliscenced circular saws every year. You go girl (or boy whichever it may be.) | |

| Comments: I signed on this morning, to once again view GUNSDONTKILL, and, low and behold, this is what I find!!! I have written several papers on this subject, myself, and shot them off to every "higher up" that I could find. I don't expect them to ever see what I sent. Their secretary's secretary, no doubt, see's to it that those papers are filed in their proper place. I have tried, to explain to several anti-gun organizations, that there is a big difference, between a gun and a weapon! Again, it has apparently made no impression. I'll tell you what it's going to take for these people to finally wise up! They, themselves, are going to have to experience, firsthand, the pain associated with losing a loved one at the hands of one of these "children" they are, so feverishly, trying to protect. What a price to pay, to learn a lesson that recent history, and plain old common sense should have taught them. The government, which should have never been given the power in the first place, has overstepped their authority, by trying, and succeeding, to tell the American people how to raise their children. I realize there are people out there who take punishment, and turn it into torture, for their children. However, as the President has so eloquently pointed out in regard to the school shootings, these are "isolated incidents", and "there's no cause to believe it has reached the point of being an epidemic." W hen we parents began being "monitored", in regard to our parenting skills, the kids got the idea that they could run the show, and they have been doing it ever since! Well, I think I have showed you where I stand, and I would love to further your cause by doing ANYTHING I can to bring about positive change! The problem I have encountered, is getting people motivated in our area! They fear the "upper crust" and the damage that can result if they "step on the wrong toes". I, enjoy making ripples in the sea of politics, but, I am more geared at causing tidal waves. Lemme'help, Thanks so much, ednigram@aol.com | |

My fear concerning the tree is that one of my childern may climb it and fall out. Does any one know of a child safty device for trees?

| Comments: Thanks for the great site! Nowdays with so many parents too busy to watch their children, it's refreshing to find someone who still cares about the little one's safety. I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't think about this first, but at least you did. THANKS! I hope this is only the first step, because Sooo many other everyday dangers also need to be addressed. Several that come to mind are: Running water (especially the hot water), Flush toilets (my god, I can't believe we still have these dangerious thinks in our homes), Automobiles (Oh, I pray that Al Gore will rid us of these menaces'), kichen knives, garbage disposals, TV radiation, hair spray, small plastic toys, pets (they bite and spread disease)....Please forgive me, I can't go on anymore because I'm starting to hyperventilate. I took a break and I am better now. Thanks again for your site, and thank god for the diseased, impoversihed, backward, third world countries, so that we will have something to pattern ourselves after we win this battle. | Comments: Frankly, I'm not about to let my freedom-restricting government get away with this. I have already begun stockpiling cases of pre-ban drywall screws and roofing nails in anticipation of The Big Day. I've also filed the serial numbers off most of my power tools, but I'm still trying to figure out how to file the serial numbers off my files. Everyone in our family has been fitted with a tool belt and received instructions in its proper and most effective use. I originally thought your web site was a parody, but after reviewing the Guest Book it is painfully clear that the Feds have already confiscated the spell- checker programs of most of your readership, so power tools cannot be far behind. | |

However, upon reading this guestbook, I noticed a percentage of about 70% thought that this was not a joke and seemed quite upset about this concept, while only 30% knew it was a site to show irony and correlation between tools and guns and the governments that fight over them. I'm happy to say that I was in the 30%. I'm placing a link in BBS systems right now. Keep it up!

| Comments: I understand that in Switzerland, all citizens are required to own at least a scrolling saber saw. In order to be well versed in the operation of their power tools, they must spend one weekend a month and two weeks out of the year with a state-run militia (sometimes referred to as "Habitat for Humanity"). Since the Swiss know that everyone owns a power tool and knows how to use it, "incidents" involving the use of power tools are kept to a minimum. | |

But, truthfully, is any child 100% guaranteed that nothing harmful will happen to them! NO! Maybe they should just sit in front of the tv 18 hours a day and then go to bed at nite? NOT! At first, I was shocked and thought to myself, "How STUPID could people be? Is there no end to their depth?" I was even ready to write a critique of your site for the newsletter I contribute to. BUT THEN I started reading, and I got to the "belt sander" page with its OBVIOUSLY retouched photo and thought, "oh... this is good." I jumped to the "last page" and there, as expected, was the disclaimer pointing out the real purpose of this site; a sarcastic, yet all-too-true, commentary on the state of gun control. KUDOS! I will forward this site to my friends!
